We had a rather unusual moving situation — we were expecting a delivery of large, heavy, decorative furniture from a craftsman in Italy, and we couldn’t receive it at our Upper East Side building or haul it up to the fifth floor ourselves. I reached out to a bunch of moving companies, and most just brushed off my request to have the furniture sent to their business address. But SEKA really listened to our predicament and stepped up to help us out. This move was super stressful since the furniture could’ve easily gotten damaged going upstairs (only one piece fit in our tiny elevator, so most had to be carried up the stairs), and we had to sync up with the freight company delivering to SEKA without a solid timeline from them. But SEKA handled everything like pros, communicated clearly and promptly, and were incredibly respectful and helpful the whole time. There was just one other moving company in the city that even thought about our request, but they wanted to charge us more.

This is the ONLY moving company I ever want to work with again.

They really simplified my move. All my belongings were secured to make sure they arrived at my new apartment in one piece. They even disassembled and reassembled my furniture at the new spot. Everything went off without a hitch, and I just had to point out where I wanted stuff to be placed. I totally suggest giving this company a shot!

I had a rough time with the moving crew. They were super unprofessional and treated me poorly, even going so far as to pressure me for a nice tip. I ended up hauling some really heavy stuff to the dumpster all by myself, and they didn’t lift a finger to assist! All in all, it was a pretty unpleasant situation, and I won’t be using this service again.

The movers showed a complete lack of care with our brand new furniture, dragging our 9’ dining table across the floor, which resulted in a chunk of wood chipping off and some nasty puncture marks on the top. They also piled heavy items on our metal coffee table's base, causing a crack in the joint. The most frustrating part? Their so-called 'reimbursement' method, which is based on weight—how does that even make sense? It's just not right! The damages totaled in the thousands, yet they only gave us less than $200. I really don’t understand how they can operate like this. Honestly, they don’t even deserve the single star I reluctantly gave them.

What a terrible service! They messed up my pricey furniture and claimed it wasn’t their fault. Their approach was unprofessional; they didn’t even bring moving blankets or mats to protect my freshly cleaned and refinished floors. It took ages, and they sure didn’t work in a timely or professional way.

This site is definitely a scam; there's no way a moving company, particularly in the northeast like Manhattan, could have no 1-star ratings and only perfect 5-star ones. Unless they're offering free moves, something's fishy here... Seka Moving is a total scam.

Who enjoys relocating?! SEKA movers were super quick to respond and helped us keep things in order during our move in Manhattan. When the crew showed up, they were really nice and treated our stuff with care. They even brought our things back the same day they picked them up. It was great not having to go without our belongings. Big thanks to the SEKA team for brightening up our moving experience!

Seka assisted us in moving from a 1-bedroom in Manhattan to a 2-bedroom in Long Island City. David and Leo were super professional, really nice, efficient, and reliable.
